There has been a wide debate over these shots of Kim’s body: Is it ART? Are her assets real? And sometimes, even the race issue was brought up. Kim Kardashian, an American-born Armenian woman rose to her stardom basically as soon as her sex tape with Ray-J was allegedly leaked some years ago. Why? Who knows. Usually when these things happen, the individuals involved (like Montana Fishburne) are rewarded with their quick 15 minutes of fame and then, just as quick, they’re forgotten but for Kim Kardashian, it was different. That tape brought Kim Kardashian & her family loads of cash, several reality shows, endorsements, and a small chain of a clothing Boutique.
Yes, the 29-year old receives a lot of attention for her big butt but quite honestly, who doesn’t? Real or not, we have many women in the Black community, Nicki Minaj, Lola Monroe, and Buffie the Body who are idolized just for their booty size. All of these women, including Kim Kardashian grabbed a hold of our attention differently but the fact is, we haven’t let go because of our infatuation with them- I mean their butts. There’s a controversy over Nicki Minaj’s butt. For the most part, we all think it’s injected but do we love her less for it? No.
In this country, in this society, during this time, SEX SELLS! Last night, I was watching a new video from a new girls group and after watching them repeatedly drop it low, back it up, and dance sexually, I sent a text to my girlfriend asking “why do females have to be so sexual in their videos; it wasn’t like that before.” She replied, “sex sells, simple!” Then it made complete sense to me. In the 90s, female R&B artists and rappers didn’t wear skin tight clothing, instead they wore baggy clothes just like the men around them and still, they were found sexy because it was done in a sexy way by tying a knot with the oversized button down shirt right under the breast area to expose their stomachs. Because time has changed along with style, how a female is perceived to be sexy has also changed so, you can’t be mad at Kim Kardashian for using what she’s got to climb up the ladder.I mean, we didn’t exactly make it hard for her.
Kim Kardashian is not a stick thin sized woman; she is considered thick, volumptuous, and the media loves it and what’s crazy is that I’m talking about the same media who place airbrushed photos of women on the covers of their magazines; feeding unreal images to people, possibly sickening their minds by silently telling them, what they see is beautiful.
I agree Kim Kardashian didn’t get her fame in the most honorable way, for afterall, it happened because she was taped sexing a man, but, she is here and I think it’s time we got over it and tried to look at what might be a positive thing here. In the photos she took for W magazine, you can clearly see her huge buttocks and breasts and it’s rare images to see on the cover of a magazine; rare images that represents most of us.
I think people it is great to see the media loving a woman with curves.. makes it a lot more realistic then these super thin girls who dont eat… And I think this country in general is too stuck on the whole lets not show any skin its wrong.. countries all over the world embrace what they have and are proud of it.. I think a females body is beautiful and it should be shown in a respectful matter.. The pics of her are art..
Granted it is no question that Kim Kardashian has a beautiful body and probably works very hard to keep it in shape. But why is society allowing this woman to be famous? What has she done to even be on the cover of a magazine but create controversy. She shold be ashamed of herself for even being famous because the only reason why we all know her name is because of a sex video that was “leaked” out.
Woman need to start looking at role models who mean something in this world, who have done something special with their life. The only reason why Kim has all the money in the world is because of girls who “look” up to her, girls who watch her show, and girls who bow down to her.
This needs to stop. I want to see woman on magazine covers who have done something with their life. Kim is no one to look up to.
I think its a beautiful thing to see a woman harboring their natural beauty. Our western society is hyporcritical, and confused on what it wants and believe in. You can’t show your natural beauty but its the only thing people will buy. our natural beauty is sexy and natural because thats how we were born, but when someone attached it with perversions it turns into a moral debate. Is it wrong that they air indengious people in Africa who are natural= in there birthday suit? no, they are living according to their environment and culture. These people, who are frustrated because of the confusion and what to believe, needs to get it together, talk about something else.
I don’t care what nobody says about Kim– that’s my girl ! And these are some hawt photos- I remember on the Kardashians she was all uptight about posing topless for Playboy. Glad she broke outta her shell !
